With 25 years of Defence experience working both as a naval officer and as a consultant, Sarah brings a depth of knowledge and the ability to find simple solutions to complex problems. She was instrumental in developing, integrating and supporting some of the most complex materials in service today, such as the $10B Air Warfare Destroyer capability. Sarah leads the ADROITA team with integrity and passion for the future.

Marc is a dynamic professional with over 35 years in the Royal Australian Navy, appointed to the rank of Captain. While working with the RAN, Marc specialised in Naval Aviation as Seahawk Co-pilot, Tactician and Test and Evaluation Specialist. He has extensive experience in executive roles, consulting to government departments at a national level and utilising broad Defence enterprise level knowledge.

Marc’s calm and collaborative leadership style combined with excellent communication skills makes him highly effective in engaging stakeholders to drive positive outcomes. He remains committed to continuous improvement, and as a systems thinker he implements initiatives to ensure high operational standards that meet strategic organisational requirements.

Marc was awarded a Group Citation for Bravery (1998) and the Conspicuous Service Cross (2017).

Neville joined ADROITA in 2020 and has had a distinguished career with 48 years of Defence experience, including expertise in risk management. Neville serves on the board of AIDN NSW and says he chose to work at ADROITA to grow an amazing team of people whilst building Australian sovereign industry capability through local and regional SME base. He helps clients understand what Defence needs from them, what their potential is for supporting Defence, and how they can leverage ADROITA’s collective Defence expertise to grow their businesses to support the warfighter.

Peter is a Senior Marine engineer with over 36 years Defence and industry experience across the Capability Lifecycle, including strategic asset management, maritime sustainment, platform engineering, maintenance management, engineering management and capital works projects. He has current and relevant commercial application and knowledge and experience in Defence procurement, the Australian Defence Contract (ASDEFCON) Tender Suite, as the Defence Lead advising a Bid Team of a $7B+ Defence contract and business development opportunities.

Tim joined ADROITA in 2021, bringing a decade of experience in Defence and supporting Defence industry. Tim has a deep understanding of the Australian defence industry, innovation ecosystems and the Defence capability development process which he uses to support ADROITA’s clients to accelerate their entry into the Defence sector. By drawing on his expert analysis and insight Tim solves complex problems for our industry clients, developing strategies to unlock potential and future proof business.

Tim has a background in risk management, strategy and industry development. While working for NSW Government he was key to establishing the industry connections instrumental for the success of the NSW Defence Innovation Network, designed and resourced key workforce development programs, provided advice to over 200 SMEs, and executed key initiatives to enhance the defence industry in the state.

Tim is passionate about developing Australian industry capability to support Defence.

A degree qualified Naval Architect, combined with a Masters and PhD in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Evan has over 28 years of engineering design and management experience across both the commercial and defence maritime environments. His experience includes 14 years in the design and project management of High-Speed Passenger Ferries and Luxury Motor Yachts, 4 years in the Americas Cup working as a specialist CFD engineer in Italian and New Zealand teams, and 10 years in Defence as both a Systems Technical Authority working across FFGs, ANZACs and LHDs and as a Chief Engineer within a System Program Office responsible for the establishment and management of a Seaworthiness Governance and Assurance Framework.

For Evan, satisfaction and purpose in his work derived from finding that upward trajectory along a steep and stimulating learning curve. At ADROITA, that’s all about the challenge of bringing new and novel technologies to bear on old problems.

Evan’s superpower is the ability to take a complex situation or problem and break it down to a simple every-day analogy. He grounds analogies in every-day terms to help communicate the core of the problem and open the door to solutions.

Ben is a highly-skilled strategic communication and marketing expert with comprehensive experience in the defence industry and in the Australian Public Service. He is also ADROITA's ACT Regional Lead.

A Navy veteran, Ben has spent the past several years in senior communication and marketing roles in the defence industry, and prior to that he was a senior speechwriter in the Department of Home Affairs, and later at the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission. Ben has written for Prime Ministers, Ministers, Departmental secretaries, CEOs, senior Australian Defence Force officers, ambassadors, and many other people. He is adept at writing speeches, Cabinet or Ministerial submissions, Parliamentary committee statements, opinion editorials, quad charts, report forewords, talking points, media statements, news articles, managing social media, and writing anything requiring a strategic narrative. He is passionate about strategic communication, marketing, and leadership.

Ben works with ADROITA's clients to assist them with their communication and marketing requirements to help position them for success as Defence ready businesses, and likewise engages in direct consulting to government to provide strategic communication assistance on government programs and projects, while also managing ADROITA's communication and marketing. He says that the key to good communication is to be clear, rather than to be clever.
